Wishes for a Year of Peace

Our mission to foster tolerance and mutual respect is more important today than at any time since World War II. With incidents of hate, harassment and intimidation rising in the US and throughout the world, we commit to continuing our work to teach the lessons of the Holocaust and provide students with ideas on how they can be agents for positive change.

In the 2016 academic school year, we hosted nine Remembrance Journeys bringing over 350 students and educators to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. One of the schools expressed their gratitude in a beautiful post.

In the 2016 academic school year, we hosted nine Remembrance Journeys bringing over 350 students and educators to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. One of the schools expressed their gratitude in a beautiful post. We held our Youth Leadership Seminar hosting more than 150 of those students and teachers who had joined us over the year and brought them together with Holocaust survivors. It was an inspiring day of learning. Sami Steigmann, a Holocaust survivor from Romania, shared his testimony. Sami who was a child victim at the brutal Transnistria labor camp, offered an inspiring and uplifting message of courage and hope for the future. The students shared their insights as well, through poetry, prose, dance, and theatrical pieces.

Unfortunately, today, when fake news seems to have greater impact than facts, our work to teach "radical tolerance" and to be an Upstander is more important than ever. Please explore our pages to see what we do. If you would like to help us continue our work, and make a contribution, just click here to Make a Donation, or on the Donations tab above. Each contribution, large or small, enables us to impact more students in positive ways.

May the holidays and coming year bring us all together in community, health and peace.
